In 1978, POR-15, Inc. engineered and developed an innovative approach to
permanently stop rust and corrosion by isolating metal surfaces from water and
contaminants. We called this product POR-15® - which stands for Paint Over Rust.
Our founding philosophy was to create only the best in class products through
solutions-driven research & development that have measurably superior
performance attributes, providing real solutions in the most harsh and corrosive
environments.
We are continuing to develop new and innovative solutions with our:
Surface preparation products that eliminate the need for blast or tool cleaning in
many settings Two-component moisture-cured urethane topcoats that withstand
harsh chemical and environmental conditions. These products were tested
extensively in Sydney, Australia where the UV index is often over 17 and now are
used to protect satellites in space.
High temperature coatings that withstand up to 1400F/760C
POR-15® coating solutions have been used extensively around the world for over 20
years in some of the most demanding industrial and marine settings. Our solutions
minimize such life cycle costs as corrosion related maintenance, replacement of
corroded parts, and loss of productive time.
